Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert in 4 days – itinerary
1st day : Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Valley of Roses - Tinghir (Dades gorges)
Upon arrival, you will be taken care of by your hotel or Riad. We will leave for Ouarzazate, On the way, we will cross the Atlas Mountains by the incredible Tizi n’Tichka pass, culminating at 2,260 meters, then arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an incredible walled city where movies like Gladiator or The Kingdom were shot. After the visit, we will take the road of the Thousand Kasbahs in the direction of Skoura, where we will stop at the Kasbah of Amredhyle. From there, we will go to Kelaat M’gouna, we will designate Berber names, to finally reach the Dades Gorges, where we will stay.
2nd day : Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Merzouga
After breakfast, we will resume our tour Marrakech Ouarzazate Merzouga to the Dades Valley and cross the impressive Todra Gorges. With this renewed energy, we will take the road to Merzouga and cross the palm grove of Jorf (where it is said that the best dates are announced) and Erfoud, a beautiful town where you can visit a marble workshop. Once in Merzouga and after recovering from the fascinating image of its dunes then we enter the desert on the back of a camel in search of the camp where we will spend the night. In this camp, we will enjoy one of the most authentic dinners of all Morocco.
3rd day : Merzouga - Rissani - Drâa Valley - Ouarzazate
If there is something not to miss! It is to enjoy a sunrise in the desert, so on this day of our Marrakech Ouarzazate Merzouga tour, we will get up early. After contemplating this moment, we will take the camels to approach a hotel where we can take a shower and have our breakfast. Passing through the palm grove and the city of Rissani (origin of the Alaouite dynasty and former capital of the Alaouite sultans), we will arrive to Alnif, where we will take the road that crosses the Anti Atlas mountain range. We will then go to ATazarine (an important Berber village), to N’kob and finally to the Draa Valley and its magnificent palm grove. In the afternoon, we will cross the Anti Atlas by the port of Tizin-Tnifift (1660 meters) in direction of Ouarzazate. The night in a Riad / Kasbah.
4th day : Ouarzazate - Marrakech.
After breakfast, we will have time to visit the famous Kasbah Taourirt and the Atlas Film Studios, the most important in Africa. We will be back in Marrakech around 5pm for your accommodation, end of my services.
